I've had a curvy career! My degrees are in Accounting and General Management yet I spent my career in completely different fields — mainly Human Resources and Corporate Sustainability. I worked at Oracle when it was small and joined Gap when it was going through crazy expansion in the 90s. Throughout it all, passion was my guide. I did work that I loved, and I worked with people and companies that I respected and admired.

Now I’m doing something new — creating the Career Curves podcast with people I respect and admire (see the pattern?).

Favorite career-related advice: “Misery is optional.” If you find yourself in a miserable situation, do something about it. If you’re feeling defensive, play offense!
